Welcome, fellow Patriots. I’m Ron Kern, and I’ve always had a deep passion for the extraordinary era of the American Revolution.​

That passion is personal. My family history reaches back to the fight for independence, and my fifth great grandfather, Peter Kern, served during the Revolutionary War. Learning his story sparked a lifelong interest in America’s founding and the men and women who secured our freedoms.  A podcast was recently dedicated to him which you can listen here.

Following my father’s path, I later served in the Navy, an experience that deepened my respect for the sacrifices made to preserve liberty, both past and present.

​

History isn’t boring. It simply needs to be told well. My mission is to bring America’s founding story to life with clarity, energy, and heart. You’ll hear that in every Patriot Power Podcast episode and see it throughout my writing.

My wife Lisa and I spent five years teaching the U.S. Constitution and American Revolution at a Christian homeschool co-op. That experience inspired the creation of the Young Patriot Series, children’s books designed to help the next generation understand America’s founding in a way that is engaging, accurate, and meaningful.

Today we live on our 42-acre Idaho homestead, Back Forty Farms, where faith, family, farming, and education all come together. Farm life keeps us grounded and often inspires the themes of resilience, gratitude, and character that show up in my work.

Through this website, podcast, books, and educational resources, my hope is to help families, homeschoolers, and history enthusiasts better understand America’s founding and why it still matters today.
