Idaho Sons of the American Revolution

On April 29, 2023, I was sworn in as President of the Idaho State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. It is an honor that I take very serious with several tasks ahead of us to accomplish. Every state has a State Society and then subsequent chapters throughout each state under the State Society. In Idaho, we have two chapters, Teton and Fort Boise. There is a third chapter in the making which is pretty exciting!

In years past, I was involved with the Idaho Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) by creating its website and also giving Patriot Chest presentations to schools. The last position I held was that of Chaplain. We, as well as our Chapters, have a great group of men with leadership, drive and vision and I'm excited to have a far more active role in this wonderful organization.

SAR has just 33,000 members so it's truly an elite organization, only qualifying to join by the bravery and service of each members lineage. The Patriot that allows me to be a member is my 5th Great-Grandfather, Peter Kern. You can learn more about him by clicking here.

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution was founded in 1889 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. SAR is dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and promoting education to our future generations. SAR is very active in assisting veterans and proudly assist teachers with living history interpreters, lesson planning material and reenactment events for school aged youth to attend.
